Hi Iām Jess! Fun fact about me is my nickname the Duchess of Design. How this came about was during my time at Thinkful I jokingly said I was an aspiring princess. Well long story short I ended up getting called the Duchess. My love for design started out as a love for upcycling furniture and DIY projects. I wanted to expand my creative side while also being able to tap into my analytical side.
I have always been customer experience focused having spent most of my career working in hospitality. Creating an environment where people enjoy themselves and want to come back has always been key to my success. As a user experience designer, I want to carry that forward into my new career. I make thoughtful designs that genuinely make people's lives better.
The path I would like to take in design would be one that would allow me to stay connected to my roots. I want to design for the hospitality industry and have people love their experience from their initial search all the way through to eating at a restaurant or staying at a resort. I want people to have an experience they will always remember.
